1. PEMIUM HANDS
The probability of being dealt A-A, K-K, Q-Q, J-J, A-Ks is 2.1% So simply waiting for 1 of these hands won't work as you will be blinded out.
2. FLUSH OUT
If you have four hands to the flush after the flop you will make your hand 34.97% of the time.
3. SUITED CARDS
Playing cards just because they are suited will cost you money as the difference between suited and un suited cards is just 2..5%.
4. PAIRING CARDS
The chance of you pairing 1 of your unpaired hole cards on the flop is 32.43%
5. PAIRING CARDS (2)
If you see all 5 community cards you will make at least a pair with one of them approximately half the time.
6. STRAIGHT MAKING
If you flop an open ended straight draw, you will make it by the river 31.5% of the time.
7. FLOPPING SETS
The odds of flopping a set are 7.5 to 1
8. GUTSHOTS
With 2 cards to come, you'll hit your inside straight approximately 9% of the time.
9. OVER PAIR
When two pairs go head to head at a showdown, the bigger pair will win approximately 80% of the time
10. DOMINATED
When you have A3 v your opponents AQ for example with a queen on the flop you need to hit runner runner 3s to win the hand. The chance of this is a mere 0.3% and if a 3 does come on the turn there is a 4.55% chance that you will hit the 3.
11. A RACE
A pair against 2 over cards is often known as a coin flip or a race and that's because he pair is only a 54% favourite to win against the 46% underdog of the suited over cards. The range of off suit hands varies from the pair being a 57% favourite to a 48% underdog.
12. KICKER TROUBLE
You're a big underdog in a showdown where your top card matches the other player's but your kicker is smaller. For example, AK v AQ both un suited, the AQ has only a 24% chance to win.
13. SUITED CONNECTORS
Some people say middle suited connectors are the best hands to bust Aces with because of the straight and flush possibilities. However, the over pair will beat suited connectors approximately 80% of the time.
14. POCKET PAIRS
You will be dealt a pocket pair on average once every 17 hands, or about 6% of the time.
15. FLUSH OUT (2)
Raggedy hands that are suited are good hands to muck as the chance of flopping a flush is only 0.8% or 124 to 1.
16. TWO PAIR
The probability of flopping two pair (with 2 different hole cards both hitting) is approximately 2%.
17. FULL BOAT
The probability of making a Full House by the river when you have 2 pair on the flop is 16.74%.
18. FULL BOAT (2)
When you flop three of a kind, you will make a full house or better by the river 33.4% of the time.
19. LIVE CARDS
When you move all in with any 2 random cards (not paired or connected) and called by a hand that is not paired or dominates you you are only a 35% underdog with your lowest random cards.

Pocket Jacks is one of the most maligned hands in Texas Hold 'em and the reason for this is that the chance of at least 1 over card hitting the flop is 52%. |
